Customize Iphone Keyboard
Create your own personal dictionary, including shortcuts for each word. So your keyboard not only auto corrects, it knows exactly what you want to say as you type. In Settings, tap General > Keyboard > Add New Shortcut. From there you can add new phrases and assign optional shortcuts to them.
Create an event Fast on Iphone
Touch anywhere on the calendar to create an event. To change your schedule, just drag events around. Tap for day, month, or list view. And rotate to landscape to see an entire week.
Everything has an alert
Assign a specific tone or create a custom vibration for new mail, Calendar alerts, tweets, and reminders. In Settings, tap Sounds to assign each a tone or vibration.
Locate your lost iPhone
If you have lost your iPhone, Find My iPhone can help you locate it. Just go to Settings > iCloud and turn on the Find My iPhone feature.
Save images from the web
In Safari, touch and hold an image to save it to your Camera Roll or copy it to paste into an MMS or email.
Give your texts some character
Access all sorts of smileys, animals, shapes, and other peculiarities from your emoji-enabled keyboard. Just go to Settings > General > Keyboard and tap International Keyboards. Add a new keyboard and select Emoji. Now when you type, just tap the globe button and choose the emoji that fits the mood.
Get some peace and quiet “Do Not Disturb”
Right inside the settings menu is one of Apple’s latest iPhone features, “Do Not Disturb.” You can switch this on at night or when you do not want to be bothered by your phone.
Right below Do Not Disturb is an option for Notifications.
The Notifications menu will allow you to tweak Do Not Disturb allowing it to turn off at a certain time or who you can receive calls from.
Optional settings for Do Not Disturb:
- Scheduled: Automatically enable Do Not Disturb between the hours you specify.
- Allow Calls From: Allow calls from everyone, no one, your favorites, or specific contact groups.
- Repeated Calls: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the call will not be silenced.
Create web clips
To add a website to your Home screen, visit the page in Safari and tap the Share button at the bottom of the Safari window. Then tap Add to Home Screen.
Learn some Iphone keyboard tricks
- Tap the space bar twice, and iPhone adds a period and capitalizes the next word.
- To enter a number or symbol quickly, touch and hold , then select the key you want. Lifting your finger returns you to the alphabet keyboard.
- Touch and hold a letter to reveal a list of special characters.
Take a Picture – Fast
When history is unfolding before your eyes – or your friend is caught in a compromising position that deserves documentation – swiping through apps to find the iPhone camera can result in a missed opportunity.
While the lock screen is displayed, two quick clicks of the home button will cause a camera icon to appear along the bottom of the screen. Tapping this new icon sends you straight to the camera. Bonus trick: the volume-up button on the side of the phone will work as a physical shutter button.
